The Report + Support website is currently undergoing some updates and changes. You can still submit a disclosure and access the support and information pages. The website will have a new look from 1st April 2026.

If you think you have been affected by any form of harassment, it may be hard to know what to do or how to feel. What happened was not your fault. What you do next is your choice.

What should I do?

  • Think: Are you in immediate danger? If you are in immediate danger or seriously injured, you can call 999 (or 112 from a mobile).
  • Find a safe space:  If an incident has just happened, try and find somewhere you feel safe. If this isn't possible and you are scared or fearful you can call security on

The Safezone personal safety app is free to download and use, and is the quickest way to receive emergency assistance whilst on campus.

  • Talk to someone you trust: Talking things through with someone you trust can sometimes help. This could be a friend, family member, or a colleague.
  • Seek specialist support: GP, EAP, external specialists.
  • Report: Report + Support can also help you understand your reporting options, whether this is reporting what you experienced to the police, the university, or perhaps even deciding not to report it until you feel ready to do so. Using Report + Support does not trigger a formal report. We will never tell you what to do. Instead, we want to empower you to make an informed decision on what happens next.
  • Take care of yourself: It’s important that you take care of yourself. If something is troubling you, you can contact your line manager, EAP service, a champion in your area – Wellbeing, Menopause, Mental Health First Aiders.
