The Report + Support Team are delighted to share that Rainbow Talk is returning with a relaxed and welcoming Paint and Chat event at both our Greenwich and Medway campuses. This special event takes place in recognition of International Day Against Homophobia, Biphobia and Transphobia (IDAHOBIT), marked on Sunday 17 May 2026.

This is a chance for LGBTQ+ students and allies to come together in a safe, supportive space — to get creative, enjoy some laughs, meet new people, and strengthen connections within the University of Greenwich LGBTQ+ community.

Event dates and locations:

  • Thursday 14 May 2026 – Room D265, Greenwich Campus
  • Monday 18 May 2026 –  Room P148, Medway Campus

The Report + Support Team will also be available on the day for informal conversations. If you’d like to learn more about the reporting process or simply have a chat, this is a great opportunity to do so in a relaxed and friendly environment.

Created in 2004, IDAHOBIT aims to draw attention to the violence and discrimination against lesbian, gay, bi, trans and queer (LGBTQIA+) people to drive positive change and is now celebrated in more than 130 countries around the world. The date of 17th May was specifically chosen to commemorate the World Health Organisation’s decision in 1990 to declassify homosexuality as a mental disorder.

If you have any questions or would like more information, please don’t hesitate to contact the Report + Support Team at reportandsupport@greenwich.ac.uk.
